DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!

Cotah Belgians is thrilled to announce the arrival of the "A" Litter!

CH Cotah's Asti Spumonte TT x ASCA WTCH DC Theriot's Texas Renegade CDX OA NAJ AHBA HTDds III HTAD IIIds HRD III

May 16th, 2006 Asti presented us with 2 girls and 4 boys...

I expect great things from this litter, especially in the performance arenas.

Asti is my special girl and has had an awesome show career.  Every weekend out in the classes she took points except for one where she was major reserve both days.  She was Best in Sweeps and Winners Bitch (for 4 points) at our regional specialty.  She won her puppy sweepstakes class at the national specialty.  She won best of breed from the bred by class at our regional supported show over multiple group placing, nationally ranked specials the weekend after her first birthday (for 5 points).  She finished her championship at 13 months of age with 3 majors.  She's had minimal training (my fault entirely) but she does have one leg towards her PT.  She also passed her ATTS temperament test.  Asti's sire is my Monte, he was best of opposite sex at the 2002 ABTC national specialty and he has a herding high in trial win to his credit on his way to his HSAs title.  He also has agility and obedience titles in AKC and UKC.  I could go on and on about my Monte Man ;-)  Asti's mother Rachel is a rock solid bitch with a fun personality.  Her first weekend out at the shows Rachel won best of breed from the classes for a 4 point major.  Rachel has her CD and PT titles.  She is first and foremost a trick dog though.  She loves to put her own 'spin' on things.  Both of Asti's parents passed the ATTS temperament test and UBSDA's own version of the test.    A total of 4 of the dogs in Asti's litter have passed the ATTS test, her brothers Austin and Cris, and her sister Rosa.  Austin and Rosa are also show in conformation, Rosa is also a regional specialty winners bitch winner.  Both Austin and Rosa have both of their majors and are only awaiting some singles to complete their championships.  Brother Cris is the performance guru of the litter (many thanks to his mother Bev for getting out there and proving these guys can work too!)  Cris is Cotah's Count Monte Cristo CD RAE AX AXJ.  All of these kids have shown great herding potential as well.

Ren is a dog you can't say enough about.  He is a dog that it's hard to find a fault on.  He has an awesome temperament, laid back when required yet willing to work at a moments notice.  He is one of the few AKC Dual champions, being both a conformation champion and a herding champion.  His grandfather was the first AKC herding champion of any breed.  He also has extensive herding titles in other registries.  Ren has proven that he is also versatile by having titles in obedience and agility on top of the herding.

I expect these puppies to be able to do anything and I can't wait to watch them while they are at it.

It's happened...  the dreaded OOOPPPPPPSSSSSSSS!

Apparently Miss Rosa decided she was not going to let Asti have all the thunder and took it upon herself to have a litter, WITHOUT my permission.  Not that Rosa has ever asked for permission from anyone ever before anyway.

Rosa with her little ones.  3 boys, 2 girls, born May 1, 2006.  This will be the Cotah B litter.  For more details... click here.
